A lipstick stain on your clothes can be easy to get, but it can be difficult to wash. Unfortunately, the bulk of us has had a hideous lipstick mark on our favourite piece of clothing. Whether your girlfriend spilt lipstick on your top or you had it on your favourite dress by mistake, removing lipstick stains from clothing can be difficult.

Fortunately, you can strip lipstick from clothing without leaving your house using a combination of cosmetics and cleaning techniques. Learn how to remove lipstick from clothing easily, even after it has dried.

You should still aim to treat the lipstick stain as quickly as possible to prevent the lipstick from disappearing deeper into the fabric of the clothes. When attempting to strip lipstick from clothes, it is often advised that you should not dry the fabric in the dryer, but rather allow it to air dry.

Following are some tips to get lipstick out of clothes-

1. Use Some Dish Soap

Since several lipsticks on the market use natural oils, you’ll want to use a greasy-spot-fighting dish detergent. Dish soap works well as a lipstick remover since it can be used on any machine-washable item of clothing.

  • Place the stained fabric, stain side down, on a paper towel to soak the water used to dissolve the lipstick stain. Apply a small amount of dish soap on the backside of the stain and leave it to sit for ten minutes. After that, gently blot the stain with a damp rag.
  • The paper towel under the garment should absorb the water and soap, and you should replace it as soon as the lipstick has been consumed. The lipstick will not move to new places on your clothes if you change the paper towel regularly.
  • After removing the lipstick, toss the dress into the laundry machine and wash as usual. Check to see if the stain is no longer noticeable until drying the clothes. If the lipstick stain remains, repeat the procedure until it is no longer apparent.

2. Use a Hairspray

Another makeup staple can be used to easily eliminate lipstick stains. Hairspray is an excellent stain remover that works particularly well on lipstick stains.

You should use an old-school hairspray to clear lipstick stains so it has more alcohol, which is the component that breaks down the stain. Allow at least ten minutes for the hairspray to dry on the stain. Dab the stain with a damp, clean cloth until it disappears.

3. Use a Shave Cream

Foaming shaving cream is a popular household staple that can come in handy when it comes to removing lipstick stains from your clothes. When you massage it onto the dye, it acts as a pre-wash.

Enable the shaving cream to rest for at least 15 minutes after adding it to the lipstick stain, then wash as normal. Check to see if the stain is gone before putting the object in the dryer. Whether the stain reappears,
