HANDWASHING
Handwashing is the gentlest way of washing items. It increases the life of the fabrics and prevents the detailing which the washing machine cant. It is really necessary to know how to handwash properly because it is one of the most effective ways of washing delicate clothes and fabrics.
What all is required for handwashing?
REQUIREMENTS FOR HANDWASHING CLOTHES –
For handwashing, we require a delicate liquid wash like Safe wash or Ezee, stain bar, washing tub and a stain solution.
What sort of clothes especially require a hand wash?
TYPES OF CLOTHES THAT REQUIRE HANDWASHING –
We mostly handwash underwear, bras delicate clothes and woollen wear and lace items with lace and embellishments.
Following are the steps which are required for handwashing fabrics and clothes:
PRE-TREAT STAINS
Pre-treat stains with the Wash and Stain Bar or Stain Solution as desired, then transform the item inside out.
FILL WATER
Fill the Wash Tub Basin or Sink with water, preferably tepid or room temperature.
ADD DETERGENT OR SOAP
To prepare the water, add laundry detergent or soap, such as Delicate Wash, and mix well.
SUBMERGE THE OBJECT
Submerge the object in water.
PRESS OUT THE BATH
Rinse thoroughly. Press out the bath with tepid/room temperature or cold water until the soapy water is gone.
DRAIN EXCESS WATER
To drain excess water, press the object against the sink or basin, being careful not to wring or twist it.
Tip:
Place the item on top of a towel, make sure it’s smooth and in its original form, then roll the item up in the towel to extract extra water as soon as possible. Use several towels and repeat them numerous times to speed up the drying process. Instead of drying fragile products in the dryer, lie them flat or hang them to dry.
