If you’ve bought something and discover that the security tag is not off, you can take it off your clothes without having to return to the shop. Make use of these simple steps to learn how to strip security tags from clothes using a number of tools.
1. USE A SCREWDRIVER
- PLACE THE INK CARTRIDGE UP
Place the piece of apparel, ink cartridge face up, on the surface.
- USE A SCREWDRIVER
Using a very small flathead screwdriver, run it around the elevated square pyramid’s side.
- PRESS IT DOWN
Deeply press down. The acrylic should be pierced and pulled up like this.
4. POP UP THE PLASTIC’S PERIMETER
Continue to pop up the plastic’s perimeter.
- REMOVE THE PAPER LINING
Remove the silver paper lining from the inside. The metal plate under it would be visible.
6. RAISE THE METAL ARM
Raise one of the metal arms that keeps the pin in place with the screwdriver.
7. REMOVE THE TAG
Pull the tag away from the pin. The tag should be removed and the pin should quickly slip into the now-free opening.
2. THE TAG MUST BE FREEZED
Put the garment with the ink tag in the freezer. For best performance, freeze the dress overnight.
2. RIP THE STICKER
Rip the sticker open. You should use your fingertips, pliers, or a rubber band to do this. This ensures that if you make a mess, the ink won’t leak all over the place because it’s frozen.
3. HIT THE TAG
1.PULL THE TAG OUT
Pull the tag out from the clothing a couple times with your fingers. Do this ten or so times before the pin loosens a little.
2. LOOK FOR A BIG NAIL.
Look for a big nail. The head of the nail should be at least as high as a penny, and the nail should be larger than the tag.
3. REMOVE THE STICKER
Remove the sticker from the clothes. Keep the tag’s long plastic section on the left.
4. OPEN THE INK CARTRIDGE
To open the ink cartridge, press down on it until it pops open.
5. HIT DOWN ON THE INK CARTRIDGE
Hit down on the ink cartridge repeatedly without applying too much energy until it pops up. It’s possible that you’ll have to target it twenty or more times before you got it right.
If you hit it too hard, the sticker would most likely burst open.
4. THE TAG IS BURNED
1.REMOVE THE STICKER
Remove the sticker and burn it. Burn the dome-like part of the tag with a lighter. It would most likely catch fire within a few seconds of burning because it is plastic.
2.CHOP THE DOME
Chop the dome with a knife or equivalent object.
3. SCOOP IN MORE
As you scoop in more, you’ll notice a spring and the sticker will almost pop out.
