Step 1 –

You will have to pleat the pallu. An ironing table is recommended for pleating the pallu so that it is neat and clean.

Step 2 –

Grab the pallu and pin it down. You will have to be very careful with the pleats and look time and again to straighten them out. Make sure nothing is sticking to the other side and pin them together.

Step 3 –

Take the saree and bring it around you. The pallu should be to your right. Leave two-thirds of the saree to the right and one-third of the saree to the left so that it works out well.

Step 4 –

Using your index finger, tie a knot at the front of your waist so that the two ends are in front of you.

Step 5 –

Take the left end of the pallu and bring it up in between the legs. Take the border end and start pleating and tuck it at the back of the waist right in the middle.

Step 6 –

Grab the right side of the pallu and put it under your right leg. You need to stretch out the pleats time and again so that they are neat. At last, put it on the left shoulder.
